What is RSS?

RSS is Really Simple Syndication. That’s a mouthful. Basically, it’s just an easier and quicker way to know about the latest news and articles from the websites that you like.

Instead of you visiting cnn.com, yahoo news, inquirer, shopcrazy, mariecasas, and all your favorite websites on a new browser window every time you go online…

The new articles come into your inbox! Your “RSS inbox”. For your “RSS inbox” or “RSS Reader”, you can choose Netvibes, iGoogle, Google Reader, Bloglines, or My Yahoo! Beta. I personally use Netvibes and Google Reader.

Here’s a quick video for how to sign up for a Google account.

Thanks to Ed Dale for the videos. These are part of the lessons for the Thirty Day Challenge. It’s a really basic introduction to internet marketing that’s (drumroll please) free and really good quality. Tried it, there’s no scam, no catch. I recommend joining the 2008 Thirty Day Challenge if you’d like to learn something new.

That’s RSS simplified. So, did you subscribe yet?
